Cave du Marmandais in a few figures
CAVE DU MARMANDAIS.
20 November 2003, the merger of the two wineries
gives birth to a new entity to be called Origine Cave
du Marmandais
The new organisation has 295 members representing vineyards
with a surface area of 1,759 hectares, covering 95%
of the Côtes du Marmandais appellation.
Number of members: 295
Surface area planted with vines: 1,763 Hectares
Annual volume of the harvests: 109,000 Hectolitres
GRAPE VARIETIES:
The vineyards are planted with:
- Basic varieties: 25% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc,
25% Cabernet Sauvignon
- Complementary varieties: 12% Cot, 7% Abouriou and
a few hectares of Syrah and Fer Servadou.
White Varieties: Sauvignon 95% and
Semillon 5% of the vines for white wine production.

Côtes du Marmandais AOC Production:
80,000 Hl
Bordeaux AOC Production: 7,000 Hl
Vins de Pays de L'Agenais Production: 22,000 Hl
Total Winery Capacity: 315,000 Hl between the 2 sites,
Beaupuy and Cocumont.
Volume of Stainless-Steel Vats: 90,000 Hl
Ageing Capacity in the Winery: 4,000 barrels
Ageing Capacity in Bottles: 8 million bottles
Number of Employees: 60 on permanent
contracts
